Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September 2011 - Taste Cumbria is a two-day feast of all things foodie. Set in Cockermouth, the annual food festival boasts a bustling traditional farmers’ market, demonstrations from celebrity chefs, along with the area’s very best culinary talent, informative masterclasses and workshops from Cumbrian food heroes, live music and street entertainment.

Special Guests include the ‘Hairy Bikers’, and celebrity chefs include Tom Kitchin, Matt Tebbutt and our very own Ryan Blackburn, Head Chef our 2 AA Rosette Restaurant in Windermere!
 
Ryan is passionate about cooking with fresh fish and his aim is to share his knowledge and skills to help dispel the fear of handling whole fish at home.  His demonstration will share tips on what to look for when buying fresh fish, how to fillet whole fish, and will be showing a unique way to serve freshly caught local fish.  Ryan will be on hand to answer questions; we hope to see you on the day when you will be able to taste a little slice of The Hideaway whilst you’re there!  Ryan’s Masterclass will be in the Saints Rooms Cumbrian Chefs’ Demonstration Theatre at 2.00pm on Saturday, 24th September.
